In 2010, after our book, “Shrimp the Endless Quest for Pink Gold” was published, Robins McIntosh invited Anne and myself to visit Thailand on an all expense trip paid by CP Foods to get a first-hand look at their shrimp farming operations. We learned much: the good, the bad and the ugly. Shrimp boats kill thousands of tons of fish as part of their bycatch. With shrimp farming there is no bycatc...

This is so cool!! I found one of these washed up on the shore almost a year ago and just now found out whay they're called. They are one incredible bunch of organisms!!
Wild caught, better flavor
Wild shrimp have more flavor & cook better.
Love wild caught , packed at 🌊 sea
luciferin is a compound not a protein, am I right? It's just a chemical compound. No?
this giant cockroach look likes the skinmite from pacific rim
Feeding the shrimp soy? Not too much soy in the ocean. Just like cows aren't made to eat soy and corn. Sick cows. Sick shrimp?
No taste in aquaculture prawns
he looks so happy, I read they are finicky
great! Keep it up! :)
WHAT’S THE REASON !!!
Electric Ray and magnetite grain topic needs its own video.

How can you tell if a sea pansy is still alive when it’s been washed up on the beach?

The sea anemone is eating a small sand dollar
why they call them roaches...? they dont even look a bit like them...
Thank You! Sharing with my Biology students.
Terrible. Horrible!
Ambassador of sea roaches.
Don't hurt them!
And just to think, in Vietnam they are steamed and roasted for eating.....🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤭🤭
Japanese and Vietnamese EAT them. And here you are with a yank pretending he was behind that.... like only yanks would..... and you can BET that was happening many years before. They've got seafood there that's animals we've never heard of and DON'T HAVE in our oceans. Isopods are throughout the world's oceans.
2015 : nothing 2021 : hey, wanna see sea roach? Me : sure
Sea roach is the rude name.
Thank you So Much for this interesting story (!). And.., I have to you just a one question: if you've catched this underwater creature for the New York big aquarium.., is it possible to keep Isopod in the home aquarium (???...). Thanks, for earlier, BfK. 👍🆗🎯😘⭐🐛⭐🐛⭐🐛⭐🐛⭐💯🆒😍
if it comes from creeks and rivers its a prawn
the terms are used so interchangeably it doesn't really matter.
@@dedsert9653 IT DOES, FRESH WATER PRAWNS GET HUGE AND DO NOT TASTE ANYTHING LIKE THE SALTWATER SPECIES..PINK, BROWN, ROCK SHRIMP, WHITE,TIGER AND MANY MORE.
I’m from NC, and grew up going to my grandma’s house down in Alligator Point. I had always seen your sign driving through panacea but never realized how cool yalls facility is. I saw a post on Joel sartore’s Instagram a while back and have followed you ever since. I cannot wait to come visit the next time i am down there!!!!
It almost looks like a trilobite!
